Consensus Mapping

An approach to large-scale public deliberation that surfaces areas of agreement across a population rather than amplifying disagreement — distinct from polling and from open comment threads, which tend to amplify the most vocal and polarised voices.

The main implementation is Pol.is, used extensively in Taiwan's vTaiwan process. The Taiwan digital democracy post covers how it worked in practice, including the Uber regulation case.
